Frequently Asked Questions

Can my loved one’s doctor take care of them at Providence Pointe Healthcare?

Yes. Doctors are encouraged to follow their patients here. We ask that physicians become credentialed by Providence Pointe Healthcare to streamline your loved one’s care experience.  We have round-the-clock nurse practitioners who will work closely with physicians to ensure continuity of care.

How will my loved one get to doctor appointments from Providence Pointe Healthcare?

Family and/or friends are encouraged to provide transportation to appointments.  If they are unable to do so or do not have a vehicle that can accommodate your loved one’s specific needs (i.e. wheelchair), we can arrange for the Paducah Area Transit System (PATS) to provide transportation.

Do you have private rooms?

Yes, each resident has a large private suite with a bathroom. Our spa room is used for bathing services.

What sorts of dining services are offered?

Your loved one will enjoy three balanced gourmet meals plus snacks daily, all planned by our registered dietician, executive chef, and culinary team.  If a visitor would like to dine with your loved one, a ticket may be purchased from our receptionist. Visitors may also bring in meals and snacks for their family member. Please check with the dietician for any restrictions.

When can family and friends visit?

Family members and friends are welcome to visit any time.  The main entrance is open from 8am to 5pm.  Our nursing staff will enter a secure access code to open our Midtown door for visitors who arrive after hours.

Can a pet visit?

Providence Pointe Healthcare is pet-friendly. We ask ghat health records be presented prior to the furry friend’s visit. Please ask Social Services for more information.
